It is in human instincts that parents will protect their children. Aside from the occasional psychopaths, parents will never intentionally harm their children. I am pretty sure it has been like this throughout time. It ensures that there will be future generations to come; a survival behavior that exists in all living things.
Our parents do much more for us. For most of us right now, they create a safe haven for us; a place called home. The stress and the troubles we experience right now are not as drastic as they could because we know that we have our parents supporting us. I think it is fair for me to say that life would be hell right now if we did not have parents helping us.
Parents are always there to give advice. I am sure most people have heard the "back in my day" stories from their parents. They are just trying to teach you mistakes that they have made in the past and try to make sure that we don't repeat it. They are also trying to explain to you that things right now are so different from how it was back then, that the world is constantly changing and advancing. We should be happy and enjoy what we have now.
Though I don't know how it feels to be a parent yet, I am pretty sure that I will love and care for my children with all my heart. I wouldn't really have to worry about that though because it is something that I will subconsciously do. It is in our nature to do so.

How do we know what we know
I believe that we are born into this world with an empty mind, ignorant to everything around us. As we grow up, we fill up our minds with ideas, thoughts, and actions of the people around us. We learn to accept these behaviors and we develop the sense that this is how the world is suppose to run. Simply living is one of the reasons for how we know the things we know.
Growing up, most of us have parents and teachers guiding us. Parents are mainly there to help us with life in general and teachers are there to guide us through our education. Both teachers and parents play a major role in how we know what we know. Parents give us advice on how we should deal with certain problems. When they do this, they are telling you of the experiences they have had; their advice isn't always accurate though, but since they are our parents, we usually believe them. Teachers learn from textbooks and teaches us in their own words. We, as students, usually agree with what they have to say because it sounds right and others agree with what they have to say. Most of what we know now is handed to us by others.
Everything around us contributes to how we know things. Our mind develops over the years and we experience more things around us. We have people to tell us information that they know and there are people guiding us throughout our life. We know what we know just by living.

Our Meaning
What is our meaning in this world? We live everday of life, accomplishing and achieveing things that we strive for. But why do we bother trying in the first place? Is there something in the end that will be worth all the effort? So many questions can be derived from this.
I believe that our meaning in this world is just doing something that makes us happy and something that makes us feel accomplished. People all have their own dreams and goals in this world and we all strive to achieve them. All our different motives creates the world for the way they it is. It creates the diversity in our world and it helps the world constantly change and improve.
We should not worry about leaving a mark on history or not. Many of us live our lives without receiving world wide recognition because there is just so many of us. We should just worry about being ourselves because our existence contributes to the growth of our society.

God in 2010
God, the almighty being that is responsible for creating all of us and the world we live in. Religion advises that we pray and thank God whenever we have the chance. Today, even people who claim to be religious lack the effort to do this. What has God turned into?
When people are stuck in bad situations or when something unfortunate occurs in their life, what do they do? Most of us will try to blame someone or something. One of the first options people would turn to would be God. They have a good reason for doing so. God is the divine being that created us all, is he not? Should he not be there to guide and protect us?
We turn to Him for refuge and we put all your faith into him when we are in need. But what do people do when in times of success? Do we still turn to God and give him all our thanks for leading us to success? Most likely not. We will thank the ones that are close to us and we believe that all that success comes from our own abilities and not from an almighty being that is guiding us. Very little of our thanks actually goes to God.
The presence of God today is fading. We use him as an excuse and a reason in dire times, but we discard him in prosperous time. There are still many people out there who's faith is unfaltering, but how long will that last? Will it still be this way for the next generations to come?
